      Thori si to thi meri zindagi mai ronaq meri jaan

Q chor gai mujhy tu or kia mila tujhy mera dil ko kr kay veeran

    تھوڑی سی تھی میری زندگی میں رونق میری جان

کیوں چھوڑ گئی تو، اور کیا ملا تجھے میرے دل کو کر کے ویران

        Ye dill tha koi sheesha nahi jo tor diya

     یہ دل تھا کوئی شیشا نہیں جو توڑ دیا

      Tumhyn maloom nahi andaz e aqeedat

Sar khud ba  khud jhukta hai, jhukaya nahi jata

    تمہیں معلوم نہیں اندازِ عقیدت

سر خود  بخود جھکتا ہے جھکایا نہیں جاتا

      Suna tha mohabat both khush qismat logon ko milti hai,

Hum nay bhi kar li, or azaby qabar ka maza dunia mai chakh lia

     سنا تھا محبت بہت خوش قسمت لوگوں کو ملتی ہے

ہم نے بھی کر لی ، اور عزاب ِ قبر کا مزا دنیا میں چکھ لیا
